Why Moffie started MOFE Action Fund
“It is the goal of the people to establish a system of education which will develop the full educational potential of each person.” (Montana State Constitution, Article X Section 1)
Montana values are reflected in our state's constitution and supporting public education is fundamental to who we are as a people. Whether you live in Glendive or Bozeman, we believe our kids are entitled to a quality education. That's why Montana is one of the last states to prohibit public dollars being used to fund for-profit private institutions, crippling our great public schools.
Unfortunately, some deep-pocketed special interests want to change the rules and use our tax dollars to fund their private for-profit schools.
MOFE Action Fund is committed to standing up for Montana’s Constitution, our students, our teachers, and our schools.
Representative Moffie Funk is a mom, grandmother, and retired award winning public school teacher. She's spent her life fighting for public education and has consistently stood up against school privatization efforts in the Montana Legislature.
Moffie believes we need to build a vocal majority that will stand up for public education, fund public pre-k, and oppose privatization. That's why she launched Montanans Organized for Education (MOFE) Action Fund.
